United States Marine Private First Class Forrest M. Turner, Jr. provides security as two Sikorsky CH-53 helicopters land at the Defense Attaché Office compound during Operation Frequent Wind. Military helicopters dropped the ground security component at landing zones. Once on the ground they set up security positions.

April 26th, 1960 – South Korean president, Syngman Rhee, is forced to resign by the April Revolution.
April 26th, 1982 – Former police officer Woo Bum-kon kills 57 in a shooting spree in South Korea.
April 27th, 2018 – North and South Korea sign The Panmunjom Declaration which declares their intentions to end the Korean conflict.
April 28th, 1952 – Japanese sovereignty is restored as the Treaty of San Francisco comes into effect.
