USO program helps keep Area I troops in Iraq connected

Phone cards donated by folks back home are helping non-command-sponsored wives in Area I stay in touch with their husbands in Iraq serving with the 2nd Infantry Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Strike Force), a United Service Organizations official said.

Wives and and a few of their family members listen to speakers at a foreign spouses’ monthly meeting at the Camp Casey United Service Organizations building.

Camp Casey USO program helps non-American spouses cope

The night spots operating outside Camp Casey range from American-style sports bars with polished wood to poorly lit concrete slabs with peeling paint.
