Three-Quarter Cavalryman, 1970

Whenever you see a group of Three-Quarter Cavalryman (3d Sq., 4th Cav.) invariable their guidon will be flying next to a flag of Texas, heralding back to the days of the Indian wars and the settling of the frontier.

Whenever you see a group of Three-Quarter Cavalryman (3d Sq., 4th Cav.) invariable their guidon will be flying next to a flag of Texas, heralding back to the days of the Indian wars and the settling of the frontier. And, being men of excellent taste, you will invariably find the cavalrymen reading Pacific Stars & Stripes when there is a break in the action. You will not, however invariably see them flying the Texal flag upside down as they inadvertently were in this cover photo by S&S photographer SP4 Jack Fuller of a trio of B Troop men at Cu Chi in Vietnam. SP4 Cecil Bean is reading the latest edition of Pacific Stars & Stripes and we used it as the cover to herald our own Silver Anniversary.
