The cake baking contest was one of the many events at the 4th Missile Command's first anniversary at Camp Page. Points were awarded in seven events in the day-long celebration. Apart from cake baking, there also was a cobbler baking contest, a tug-of-war, several drill team competitions, as well as a variety of truck rodeo events. The 1st Missile Battalion men took home the organizational day trophy for winning the most events, including the cake-baking one.
