After some 5 or 6 North Korean agents were reported to have crossed through the Demilitarized Zone in 2nd Infantry Division area, the division's 4th Brigade commander tasked the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Strike Force with flushing the communist infiltrators out of hiding.

The joke in the 1st Reconnaissance Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, is that the “recon” in the unit’s name stands for “reconstruction” instead of reconnaissance.” It’s almost true. Since last fall this frontline outfit haws built a steady stream of projects.
