New law eases citizenship for military spouses, 2008

Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan, Sept. 28, 2008: A new law allows military spouses to become naturalized overseas. Five spouses raised their hands at Yokosuka Naval Base to form the first group of spouses to become American citizens in Japan.
