55th Quartermaster Sentry Dog Detachment, 1959

Leaping over fences in pursuit of a culprit is an important part of the "K-9 policeman's job. Rookie cop, Buddy, learns this lesson from his Korean handler, JIn Tae Lim, at the detachment training area. The 55th Quartermaster Sentry Dog Detachment, operating in the Army Support Command area for the past two and a half years, has 19 dogs - mainly German sheperds - which are handled by 19 Koreans. The handlers are sresponsible for working the dogs, their daily feeding, grooming and health inspections.
