19th Infantry Regiment, 1959

Missile men can become infantry in seconds. By taking nearby high ground, they can protect launching site against attack. Men of C Company, 19th Infantry Regiment might be armed with weapons many times smaller than the rocket they are associated with, they play an important part in the success of the unit as a whole, throwing a "ring of guns" around the rocket and the fire batteries. By occupying the high ground around the rocket, they afford protection for the rocket as well as for the men who fire it.
