Four cast members from the HBO series “Band of Brothers” and several paratroopers who inspired the book and television show will visit Pacific bases this month as part of a USO tour.

The story looks at the experiences of members of Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, who fought some of the fiercest battles in World War II.

Stephen Ambrose retold their story in a book that later was adapted for television.

Former paratroopers Lynn “Buck” Compton, Donald “Don” Malarkey, Darrell “Shifty” Powers and Earl “One Lung” McClung will visit bases in Hawaii, Japan and South Korea from Tuesday to Feb. 16.

Their exact schedule was not available by press time.

The veterans will be joined by actors Matthew Settle, Eion Bailey, James Madio and Peter Youngblood and will sign autographs and talk to servicemembers.
