Wrecking crews tear down former dependent housing units in the 500 block of the Washington Heights Housing Area to make room for facilities which will be used in the 1964 Olympics. U.S. Forces families were moved, and those who did not return to the United States were relocated elsewhere in Washington Heights or the new housing area at Chofu.
