U.N. prisoners of war peer through windows of communist ambulances as they arrive at Panmunjom April 20, 1953 for repatriation and exchange with Red captives.

An allied prisoner of war peers out the window of an ambulance, a smile on his face. Two groups of 50 Allied POW each were released April 20, 1953 in exchange for 500 sick and wounded communist fighters. There were 14 Americans in the first group, 16 in the second.
